A paper "Spin-Orbit Interaction in Single Wall Carbon Nanotubes: Symmetry Adapted Tight-Binding Calculation and Effective Model Analysis" was selected as a 2014 Award-winning paper in the Physical Society of Japan. The award ceremony was held on March 29, 2014 at Tokai University (Shonan Campus).

The Award is for academic papers on physics [in the JPSJ or Progress of Theoretical and Experimental Physics (and its former journal, Progress of Theoretical Physics)] in order to recognize and praise the achievement of researchers who have made important contributions towards the progress of physics.
