Wataru Izumida got 11th Morita-Kinen Prize for "Study on spin-orbit interaction in carbon nanotubes".
The Morita-kinen prize was founded by the Alumni Association of Department of Physics, Tohoku University, by thought of Akira Morita Tohoku University Professor Emeritus as an academic award.

授与式は、2015年10月31日の泉萩会総会（於：東北大学大学院理学研究科理悪合同C棟C201号室）にて行われました。
