Thanks and History

The supercite package was derived from its predecessor superyank 1.11 which was inspired by various bits of code and ideas from Martin Neitzel and Ashwin Ram. They were the folks who came up with the idea of non-nested citations and implemented some rough code to provide this style. Superyank and now supercite 2.2, have evolved to the point where much of the attribution selection mechanism is automatic, and features have been continuously added through the comments and suggestions of the supercite mailing list participants.

Many of these folks have contributed their help in debugging, making suggestions for enhancements, and supplying support code or bug fixes for the previous versions of supercite. I would like to thank (in alphabetical order):

I apologize if I've left anybody out. All who have helped have been greatly appreciated.

Also, thanks to David Eckelkamp, John Stoffel, and Walter Rowe for proof reading the initial drafts of this manual.
